Me in the News...

Well not really. But this article indirectly refers to me. The seminary I recently left the states to enter here in Rome is welcoming the largest class of seminarians in 40 plus years. All together we are 61 new seminarians from across the states. So I thought that was pretty amazing. That does not mean we are in anyway out of the vocations drought of the past 40 some years but it does show the Holy Spirit is stirring up men to become priests. On another note, my old seminary, which many of you visited, St. Patrick's Seminary, is full this year. They took in 26 new men. So good news abounds but we'll need a lot more.

There we are. This is not the official picture so some guys were not ready for it. Can you find me?

On that note, I thought I would mention a blog I recently helped start for the Diocese of Sacramento which discusses vocation stuff like vocation stories, the lives of seminarians, seminary life, discernment, events, and so on. It's only going to get better so you may want to check it out. It isn't simply for people interested in the Diocese of Sacramento or the priesthood but is a good tool to have around. The website is: http://www.sactownseminarians.com/ . Feel free to check it out.
