Protestant History in Communist China

http://www.christianitytoday.com/ch/2008/002/7.30.html

I came across this article in
Christianity Today (a non-denominational organization started by Billy Graham) that talks about the history of Protestantism in Communist China starting 100 years ago. Despite denominational differences, I found the work that was done there very encouraging. I still can't imagine what it would be like to be persecuted just for my religious beliefs. It really puts the whole relative culture ("what works for you is fine and great, but it may not be what works for me" thing) we live in into perspective. Makes me wonder how many of us would still be Christian when it came down to it. I pray that I would be firm and steadfast.
