This was a super interesting article I read today about a liberal Brown Univ. student who transferred to a conservative Christian university for a semester as an undercover student to write a book on his experiences.

Interesting idea. The funny thing is so many of us have done just the opposite. We've gone to completely liberal leftist schools where every moral law goes out the window and no one has truth at all. The only intolerance allowed is against anyone who thinks abortion or gay marriage should not be legal. That's just my UC Davis experience speaking. I got called one too many names. :)
But one comment on something he said. He says he was "infuriated" at the comment that the deaths at Virginia Tech paled in comparison with the millions of abortions. It's hard for me personally to come to grips with such a mentality. Obviously what happened at Virginia Tech was a horrendous event and comparing tragedies is not exactly something one should make a regular habit of doing. But abortion, the millions of dead innocent babies and the wounds of millions of mothers and fathers, in no way can possibly compare with VT. And this alone makes it hard for me to believe he could have really immersed himself in a more 'conservative' Christian culture because he never saw the human person and the unborn child as a Christian does. He never saw the child alive in the womb, responding to the touch of his mother, and the joy of the mother responding to her natural vocation to be mother.
