Prayer for Our Country

If you guys have been keeping tabs on the news in the states, you'll realize there have been five violent mass shootings in the last month. NY just yesterday where 14 people in all have died. Another 11 died in Alabama. In Oakland we lost four cops and a gunman. The murder-suicide in Santa Clara left another 6 dead. And then there is also the gunman who shot through a nursing home killing 8. 44 people dead.

These horrible deaths have to make us question the state of our society and our culture. What is going on?

Pray for these people, the repose of their souls, the consolation of their families, and for our country as a whole. And then pray for yourself. I think much of what we can do is rooted in ourselves. When we begin to live in the image which God made us and Christ showed us, we will change our families, our friends, our society, and the world.
